The Board is the governing body of the Foundation. The Board has the following responsibilities:
- Strategic direction: The Board is responsible for setting the foundation’s strategic direction. This includes developing and approving the strategic plan in line with the Foundation’s mission, vision, and values.
- Care for resources: The Board is entrusted to care for the Foundation’s resources. The Board will ensure that its decisions are advancing the mission and the good of the community, and that its decisions about investments and budgets will have a positive impact on the Foundation’s future.
- Accountability: The Board is responsible for ensuring that the foundation is accountable to its stakeholders, including the community, donors, and grantees. This includes monitoring the Foundation’s financial performance, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and ensuring that the foundation’s programs are effective and efficient.
- Promotion: The Board helps promoting the Foundation to the space community by widely sharing information about its mission and accomplishments.
